Brigitte lernt zur Zeit Englisch in Nordirland und beschreibt uns eine typische Woche im[ Sprachaufenthalt in Belfast.](https://www.linguista.ch/de/sprachaufenthalt/englisch/nordirland/belfast/) Im ersten Teil erfährt ihr wie es sich unter der Woche so lebt, im zweiten Teil wird euch Brigitte von einem aufregenden Wochenende auf der grünen Insel erzählen: **Mittwoch:** > *„What a day! When I got up this morning I was so nervous!“* Brigitte hatte heute ein Vorstellungsgespräch in einem Hotel und war dafür reichlich nervös. Denn Job hat sie aber erhalten und wird bald anfangen als Kellnerin zu arbeiten. Die guten Neuigkeiten müssen natürlich in einem echten irischen Pub gebührend gefeiert werden. Brigitte empfiehlt das Maddens, *der* Ort für Kultur und Musikenthusiasten: > *„I invited my friend David from Spain for a drink. We went to Maddens, a local pub that is very famous for it’s live Irish music. One, two, three… and one, two, three. Every Wednesday evening musicians play guitar and accordion and people dance to the Irish Music. I love this great and ‘fond of live’ atmosphere. Slainte!”* **Donnerstag: ** Weil sie den echten nordirischen Lebensstil erleben wollte, hat sich Brigitte entschieden in einer Gastfamilie zu leben. Die Gasteltern, John und Olwyn, sind richtige Familienmenschen, sie haben 5 Kinder und bereits 6 Grosskinder. > *„My host mother always prepares breakfast (toast, coffee, jam, butter and cereals) for me. A good start to the day! Then I usually have to hurry to school because I’m always very short of time. The college is 20 minutes away by bus and the lessons are from 9:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. with a short break in the middle.”* Brigitte hat also eine super Gastfamilie getroffen und ist kulinarisch bestens versorgt. My favourite local dishes are Ulster fry and Irish Stew, which I can absolutely recommend to you. At the table we talk a lot and I have learned much about the northern Irish culture. When I fist arrived in Belfast I had to get used to the Irish accent, but now I understand it quite well. Of course John and Olwyn also want to know about my life in Switzerland. An interesting exchange for all!” * **Freitag:** Bald ist Weekend und für Brigitte ist es Zeit das lokale Sportprogramm durchzuprobieren um sich auf den abendlichen Hockeymatch einzustimmen. Die gewählte Aktivität im breiten Programm der Sprachschule war Pilates, perfekt zum relaxen nach dem Englisch lernen: > *„The pilates class is part of the social program organised by the college. There are a lot of activities available like tours to the Giant’s Causeway, visits to the Ulster museum, Irish Dancing at Madden’s and a guided visit to the closed jail.”* Und dann gings auch schon an den Hockeymatch: > *„The Belfast Giants, a local hockey team, played against an English team. Unfortunately they lost, but I really enjoyed the amazing atmosphere in the Odyssey!”*   So das war eine typische Woche im Sprachschulalltag, schaut bald wieder vorbei um zu erfahren, wie Brigittes spannende Woche am Weekend weitergeht!
